Beyond Waterboarding
As the Congress wets its pants over Michael Mukasey's ambivalence regarding Waterboarding and torture, I wonder if they are as critical of bombs, bullets, colonialism, and physical assault against Iraqis? I wonder if they think about the sanctions against Iraq, imposed by Clinton's Presidency, that literally starved the Iraqi People killing over 1 million?
Progressives, Elections, Where's the Media Justice?
Tonight, Election Day, (well, technically last night now...), I went to an election party with a bunch of electorally focused progressives at Tracks, one of Denver's gay clubs. Suspicious I wouldn't fit in as an electoral skeptic, I arrived. The dancing was fun.

How Can We End This War
9/11 derailed the counter-globalization movement. The morning the planes smashed into the World Trade Center, the Financial Times reported that "the protesters are winning." This referred to the international movement against neoliberal economic policy--that of the Zapatistas, the protesters against the WTO in Seattle, the IMF and World Bank, and the G8 in Genoa.
Kucinich Will Impeach Cheney
A call to your representative's office would be helpful now, tomorrow (Tuesday morning) at the latest. A call to friends in other states would be useful. What can we do to make a better world? Mars is Not My Home By:Ken Driessen (c)2007
This song is one of my attempts in illustrating a spiritual awakening that is happening. 2012 will not be the end of the world; it will bring a new age of reason and awareness. Many of us have come to realize the truth:we are not the center of the universe. We must stop destroying this planet if we are to evolve to our rightful place in the universe as a species capable of transending time itself. It is, was and always will be arrogant of humans to believe some dude "who fashioned us all after himself" created the universe.

Universal Healthcare or Iraq War
There are some interesting stories coming out about the true cost of continueing the war in Iraq, specifically what we could buy if we redirected that spending towards universal healthcare.
As China Roars, Pollution Reaches Deadly Extremes
By JOSEPH KAHN and JIM YARDLEY Published: August 26, 2007 on New York Times
China’s industrial growth depends on coal, plentiful but polluting, from mines like this one in Shenmu, Shaanxi Province, behind a village store. No country in history has emerged as a major industrial power without creating a legacy of environmental damage that can take decades and big dollops of public wealth to undo. Foreclosure Crisis...LaRouche Proposes Homeowners and Bank Protection Act
I hope you all agree with this because the public is being thrown out of their houses from interest rates and property taxes. Remember, this is a free nation that belongs to the free minds of the people, not the banks. We CAN change the laws if enough free minded people gather to do it. Send this message to everyone who might have a family member or friend in jeopardy.
